I picked this up through Kindle Daily Deals (love the programme) and was pleasantly surprised. First off, it's important to know that these two stories were written over 30 years ago. Therefore no technology and different attitudes.One SummerIn this story the main characters are both photographers but in totally different genres. The H does gritty, reality type photographs. In his past he covered war torn areas. The h is a celebrity photographer and prides herself on taking very real pictures after getting to know her clients. These two are paired up to do a series of photos capturing summer. They go on a lengthy road trip taking pictures as the mood takes them. The H is a solitary guy and not looking for commitment and neither is the h. As usual the author developed their relationship beautifully.Lessons LearnedThe h is a publicist and is scheduled to take the H on a book promotion tour for 3 weeks. The H is a chef and he has recently written another cook book. The H is an Italian lover boy, dripping with charm and collecting conquests along the way. Initially the H thinks about having a fling with her but the h is different and he knows he has to be careful. The H is very focussed on her job and eventually starting her own PR firm. She's also very wary of being another notch on the H's belt. I was sceptical of the H forming a lasting relationship but the author did a good job with him.

Both the stories in this book are wonderful and will pull at your heart strings. The characters are believable and the story keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. The endings are wonderful as all romance stories should be to be enjoyed fully.

This story, One Summer, was published in 1986. The laws were very different then. A little research will confirm that fact. Nora Roberts is a better author than to be that careless. Research is your friend!

Juliet and Carlo were a great study in growing a partnership. As they proceeded on his book tour you knew they would be together but not how a Big Apple publicist and a Roman artist of a Chef and restaurant owner could possibly make it work. A fun adventure!

Not good

Worst NR book ever!

I wanted to enjoy this book, but early in the book Roberts has Bryan, the photographer, taking photos of children leaving an elementary school. The photos were to be used in a magazine. Having taught in public schools, I know that a teacher would be stationed at the door of an elementary school, and an unidentified person taking photographs of children would have immediately been stopped. It is illegal to take photos of children on school premises without the permission of parents. What's more, in order to be used in a magazine, written permission must be given. "Bryan" did not even know who these children were. So it spoiled the book for me and really made me wonder about the extent of Ms. Roberts' research for her novels. I was surprised at my reaction, but there it is.

Both of the stories are good, easy reads and probably deserve a four star rating. However, it really aggravates me that these books were issued in other book titles making me think I have not read them. I checked my list of Nora Roberts books and just happened to see that One Summer was in a book titled Summer Pleasures and Lessons Learned was in a book titled Table for Two. To me it’s kind of cheating to try to get us to buy the book again. So check those other titles before you buy this.
