First, let me say I love Jack Noble, and L.T. Ryan. The books are excellent. What I don't like about this last book I just read "When Dead in Greece" is that it is 212 pages in length (3 hrs. reading time) and the cost to download it on my Kindle was $4.99. I think this book is way over priced for the length and, sadly, I may not be purchasing anymore of this series if this continues.Otherwise, the storyline was excellent as well as the characters, as usual

I decided to continue my NOBLE trek one step further, even after my deep disappointment of Noble 4, mainly because of the short length of the novel and the lack of mental investment I would have to make to just "go find out if it could get worse".Surprisingly, I was very pleased at the plot and the fluidity at which the storyline moved, and more importantly, the limited amount of characters and situations the reader could maintain his or her focus on without such a muddle of stories intermingled in increasingly unbelievable situations.I believe the key to success in this series is more of a short story than a drawn out extravagant SpecOps shootem'up galleria.I think I'll stop on a good note. Next one is a doozy.

Jack has more lives than a cat. But that is the way Series go and I enjoy this one. They bring you right to the end and throw you a curve ball. So I'm downloading the next of the series to see how far we go with this one. It's unusual that the main character gets shot, kidnapped, beat up and left for dead, but old Jack is a tough old bird. So let's see how he gets out of the next series.

The likeable characters, (and the evil ones as well), even though they are really tough, and the trouble they get mixed up in, will leave you rushing for the next book as soon as you finish one. You just have to know what happens next! The way a good book should be! I hope there really as many terrible people in the world as these books tell me there is!

Action in every page, well thought out scenarios, and enough blood and dirty deeds to satisfy every Mitch Rapp follower and those who miss Vince Flynn. This story actually starts in a prison in Russia and transfers to Greece, where Noble is mending and staying out of sight. Good stuff.

I have read a few other Jack Noble books. This one didn't have "Bear" - but he had another partner (not necessarily best friends, though). The story line moved along, with lots of action.Jack was being his rogue self, following his gut instead of orders - his own interpretation of right/wrong - regardless of the danger. The story had a definite wrap-up, but just when you thought it was over, a new twist was dropped at the very end. And, of course, this pushes the reader to obtain the next book. For me, that is a negative.

Jack Noble is the guy who will do anything to achieve his goal. In this case where he is recuperating from his adventures in Russia, in a little village in Greece he finds it unacceptable how the waitress in the hotel is treated by some obscure guys. In spite of being undercover he gets involved and takes the necessary beatings. There are some big surprises for him as things do not turn out the way he thought but in the end all is good. A very entertaining book.

Somehow I missed Dead in Greece, but I had read all of Jack Noble series. I was rereading from book 1, and they read like it was the first time. Now I do have them all in my Kindle library and will continue reading the rest including Bear's stories. Love them all!!!
